Vigorous Walks

Adventures in Paradise includes over twenty of the best walks in the Upper Valley. Highlights include the remarkable carriage road network at the Marsh-Billings National Historic Park in Woodstock, one of America’s most walkable towns. Walks in and around the Dartmouth College campus in Hanover are also featured.

The Upper Valley is bisected by the Appalachian Trail. Numerous country road crossings of the AT permit section walks of five to twenty miles. A in P also details numerous railtrail walks including those that are handicap accessible.
