ValleyMeister is a series of fun scavenger hunts for clues to our heritage - clues that tell of our history, geology and quirkiness. Designed for ages 12 and up, these Question & Answer "quests" are designed to intrigue, to educate and occasionally to tease. They will take you out and about, up and over, and down and through both the centures and the enduring beauty of the Upper Valley. The $1000 prize will be drawn from the pool of correct entries. See Rules for more info.
The first eight hunts follow similarly numbered tours in Adventures in Paradise. Use the accompanying maps to find your way, which is meant to be easy. For the Two Town Hunts - Hanover/Dartmouth Campus and Woodstock - maps given out at seasonal information booths on the respective Greens but are note necessary. Each hunt will take about two hours - download and go!

White diamonds have been posted at a very few spots along the way to help you locate some of the answers. Also, before starting out be sure to read through all the questions so that you don't have to backtrack to find answers that depend on previous observation.
To enter the ValleyMeister $1000 drawing you willl need to answer all of the questions correctly in at least five hunts, but not necessarily the first time around. Contact us for hints as necessary at mail@newbiking.com. Answers to the starred* questions in each hunt are found in Adventures in Paradise, which is available at regional bookstores, sport shops and by mail and phone.
What a great book! Thank you for packaging your delight and discoveries
in one page of enlightenment after another. Bravo!
